When upgrding form 1.15 to 1.2
just got to the run 11_to_12_update.php bit

did the upgrade actually work though? thats almost like its already been upgraded

Went through rest of the setup process and got the following.

Is it possible to empty the database install punbb1.2 from scratch and then dump my old backup sql file into the data base?

Will this work?
on the old one 1.1.5 i had a mod installed the bbcode one

could this be the problem?

Well, of course. If the update script doesn't finish properly, the forum won't work. Try reverting back to the 1.1.5 database and then give it another go.

I started from scratch

installed 1.1.5  on  a new data base then upgraded to 1.2 which worked fine.

ive got my forum back to a previous state

ie 1.1.5 with the bbcode mod installed.

how to does the upgrade difffer from upgrading without any mods?

What is the "BBCode mod"? I have to know if it alters the database or not in order to answer your question.

Finally sorted it.

Don't know what the problem was something to do with the database having 2  of  something or other and a key set to 1, whatever that means????.(can't remember the exact error)

I got a backup sql file to work but it was 10 days old so i 've lost just over a week,
never mind though i'm happy it works.

now i'll  to try and customise and integrate it.

Not easy for us non advanced users!

I'm learning though, slowly.
