Topic: Is this a bug?

I was viewing different posts today, and stumbled on this.  Take a look at this thread and the # of post that Benny has.  His orgianal post says he has 75 posts, and his second post says he has 75 posts.  Shouldn't his second post say 76 posts?

No, the post counter gives the total number of posts that user has made. It should be the same for all a particular users posts i.e. it is not a running total. In the case you cited, Benny would have had 74 posts before he made the second post at which time both the new and old post were updated to 75 posts.

Ok. thanks.  Not that I am looking for bugs.  But it does help to understand the "nuts and bolts"

also, the postcount shows the posts the user whas posted, not the posts that's in the database, so there could be fewer avaible during a search, a user with 10 posts could have only 2 posts in the database, if the other posts were deleted (manually or pruned)
