Topic: installing PunBB in non-root directory

did a search, didn't find the answer.

I need to install PunBB and a separate CMS on the same domain in my server. PunBB is configured to run off the root, as is the CMS. So I want to put punbb in a folder one below the root. Can this be accomplished and how? What settings will need to be changed..?

I already have 2 installations of PunBB running so I'm familiar with it, but they're both using root (different domains).

TIA

Austin

Re: installing PunBB in non-root directory

There is nothing to it. You can place it in any folder you like. If you're moving a forum from one folder to another, just don't forget to updated your Base URL in admin/options.

excellent. thank you for the quick response and your hard work on the forum.

Re: installing PunBB in non-root directory

one more question - which files/folders need to be CHMOD'd to 777 or whatever..?

the move went smooth.

TIA!!
