Wow. o_O
I think people should be posting what types of machines / systems their boards are running on. Do these monster boards (with thousands of users) require a dedicated server like most other forum applications do, or is PunBB efficient & lean enough that it will run well on a shared server or VPS?

Our post count would have been almost twice that high, but we lost all the posts from Jan'04 to Dec'04 when the posts table on the old phpBB took a dive and the backups were...um...incomplete.
what the hell does the rows and size mean and why does it matter? lol

I have a puny board, the Iron Curtain boards have only 74 registered users, 166 topics, and 827 posts. It's a guild website for our guild in World of Warcraft. However, the other forums that I visit daily, the MacAddict forums, have 14,076 users, 49,734 topics, and 768,098 posts. They have recently migrated from phpBB2, and boy, are the forums snappier now.
I don't have Admin access to MacAddict, but my forum database is MySQL 4.0.18, Rows: 27326, Size: 1.35 MB.
I think we found a new winner.

A forum doesn't get far when it's about nothing at all...
My forum has a couple of thouand users, and I get about 10-15.000 pageviews per day, total posts are about 26.000 since September.
(it used to be 12.000 members and more than 100.000 posts, but phpnuke got hacked.. surprise surprise.. and I lost all the data!)
I will be transferring to Pun within a few days, and I'm quite excited to see how it goes. I just pray the converter-program works, or it's my ass!
I will report back as soon as I see the board in action with heavy load. I'm running the board on a regular server, not dedicated.
