Topic: Just installed and have problems!

I've just installed PunBB on my site Ub3r.net Forums but I already have the following error...

Warning: main(./include/common.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/forum/index.php on line 27

I've never learnt php but I will do soon, so I have no idea how to fix such a problem, any help is greatly appreciated smile

did you upload the include folder? and if so check you uploaded common.php into it

Lol, fixed in an instant big_smile I had forgotten to upload the files in /include/, I had only created the folders in it. Not to go off topic, but where could I learn basic PHP so I can fix these problems myself, and write my own plugins etc.?

well theres loads of places on the web, http://webmonkey.wired.com/webmonkey/ has some good stuff, personally when i first started with php i found the best way to learn was to mess about with other scripts (although i did have some other experience in scripting), if you just setup a local server ( www.wampserver.com ) setup punbb decide on something you want to do to it and work it out wink for plugins have a look at the example plugin

Now this is just nooby.. but how do you actually edit the content? Please say there's a control panel.

Nevermind, fixed that one too.

But whenever I log into the administration section of website, it resets the style to the blue one, so I set it as 'lithium' (orange) and log out, it works fine, go into admin and it goes back to lithium.. why does it do this?

when your logged in your style is controled by the style set in your profile

Oh, but before I went into Administration > Options and set the new style, and it affected the whole site, but then it disappeared after re-logging in.

when you change the style in admin it won't affect the site for you, only guests and new users
