Topic: No valid language pack English installed.

Hello,

Did a fresh install of PunBB to see what it's all about.  When I tried to go to the index.php to start it, I got this error:

"There is no valid language pack 'English' installed. Please reinstall a language of that name."


Seems the solution was to set the lang/ subdir to English instead of english.

Why did that happen?

If you look at the package you downloaded the directory names are in uppercase. You probably converted to lowercase when you uploaded.

Hi Paul,

I didn't conciously do that.  It seems that either my host or the program I used to unzip performed the case conversion for me.
