Topic: After 1.2.5 Update, admin_index.php PunBB version reads 1.2.4?

Dear PunBB.org,

Greetings, this is my first post here.  My latest full installation was PunBB v1.2.4, and then today I noticed that v1.2.5 was released and recommended to be applied.  So I downloaded the Changed files only (tar/gzip), and overwrote the necessary files on my server.

Everything loads just fine, but on admin_index.php the PunBB version still reads:

PunBB 1.2.4 - Check for upgrade

Have I missed a file, update, or patch?  Should I update that manually and is that normal?

Regards,

Czar

You have to run the update script (it's in the extras folder)

Thanks much.

The version number is also in your cache so you can go there and change it.

I always clear the cache after an upgrade, just to be on the safe side.

The upgrade script clears the cache for you, so that really shouldn't be necessary.

Dear Rickard,

I saw that the update script has a few useful cleaning/refresh queues.

// This feels like a good time to synchronize the forums
// We'll empty the search cache table as well
// Finally, we update the version number
// Delete all .php files in the cache (someone might have visited the forums while we were updating and thus, generated incorrect cache files)

Good deal, thanks.
