man, dude its trully great that you post mod that you made but unfortunatly for most of us the demo is useless as i have no idea what written and you dont give any description of your mod ,all there is in the zip file is a file called new.php ....i mean were do i put it should i change something etc, etc, etc....let me know or i mean us know thx!

oohh.. I get it now, so that's why I can't use this mod.. Actually there's no problem with this mod right now.
For others who want to use this mod maybe you might need to modify
$forum_id line 11 and $template_path at line 17 with your own path. After all it works fine at me.
But I'm not gonna use this because I'm still confuse what does this mod do? I mean is this usefull?
Please explain it to us.. thanks before..

so is this a seperate page that post the news from the new generator?
Edit: I see what it does now
The post are jumbled together do you have a fix for that?
Edit: I fixed it and got it working on this portal thing I'm working on

i recommend you to use http://punbb.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=7051 instead of this mod
its more complete, but has no archive, going to add archive functionality to miniportal mod

if you write an archive script i'd be interested, i was also thinking about writing an alternative that used the news generator

That's a great addon but involves changing an awful lot of stuff, since I only want to the news feature i'd rather get yours working.

its actually not that bad its mostly copy/paste and just a few place to change index.php to forum.php
