Topic: Huge News! Adobe to buy Macromedia!

Man, my jaw hit the floor when I saw this announcement.

How is this going to affect the web development community.  Good or Bad?

If its cheaper to run Windows than it is to run Linux, how come Microsoft has all the money?

Definatly bad. monopolization and avoiding of competition never been good.
How do you think if microsoft and berkley making free-bsd and linux with other OS makers will join together and will make super OS, that won't have any competitors not because it's the best, but because they are all bought?

I tend to agree with you.  What other competition is out there for the behemoth that Adobe has become.

Now my worst nightmare would be Microsoft buying Adobe.  Gulp sad

noooooooooo adobes bad enough with the pdf files now they have swf as well sad hopefully they'll just let macromedia run as it is

Probably say goodbye to Fireworks, Golive, Freehand and SVG.

Main problem will be the complete different styling and approach of the GUI of the macromedia and adobe products.

Those are completely different. Would be a same if the are going to mess with that
