Topic: core.web and symphony cms's

i'm currently a textpattern and expressionengine developer but am always looking for better/different alternatives. core.web cms seems really promising - esp with their modules - but i've never seen it mentioned anywhere.. anyone have experience with it?

a new package called symphony also seems very promising. anyone have any thoughts on it in comparison to the ones mentioned above?

They both look like you need to pay for them.  Not that I have a problem with that, but I'd like to test drive something like this before I would be willing to shell out any cash.

yea, one of the main reasons i'm asking here is because they're not free. thanks

Symphony21, its good in Firefox, but it sucks in IE6

God wisely designed the human body so that we can neither pat our own backs nor kick ourselves too easily

Symphony looks like a clone of ExpressionEngine, it might be nice when they get it all done.

Seems like everyday another CMS pops up, hard to keep track of them all.

Re: core.web and symphony cms's

While I admire Symphony's zealous adherance to web standards I would suggest their attitude to IE is commercial suicide. On the other hand, the markup is excellent and could be "hacked" to work in IE very easily.

i was just told by the core.web cms team that it's not avail as a stand-alone app and is only offered with their dev services. oh well.. scratch that one.
