If I understand you correctly, no. You mean the name the guest entered when he/she posted, right?

Maybe I should explain what I want to do: I want to use the forum for an archive for a user list. The members of the user list post messages which are sent to everyone by email. I want to store these messages in something like a forum with the writers names. Any idea how, or with what tools, I can do it?

Hmm. What you're talking about sounds very possible. I thought you meant that you wanted to change the name used by a guest when posting a message. As in after the post was made. I'm not entirely sure how you want to do it though, so I don't really know what to say. By "user list", do you mean mailing list?
