Topic: changing Date format problem?

After having several hundred postings on my message board, I decided to change the default date format.
After making the changes, I noticed all the messages, many being months old, all read that they were posted today.
Is there a some sort of fix for this?
PunBB 1.2.5

Re: changing Date format problem?

I just changed my date from Y-m-d to d-m-Y and it worked perfectly both as regards post dates and user joining dates. What were the exact changes you made?

Re: changing Date format problem?

I just changed it to the original Y-m-d setting and it went back to normal.
I then tried to break it again and it did not break, it took the date changes good.
I will try to break it again and will post here if it breaks.

Thanks for the attention.

Re: changing Date format problem?

I am experiencing the same problem. When I changed my date format on my forums from the standard to g:i a, M n, Y, all new posts are always being marked as 'today.' I am running the latest version of PunBB. Is this in the development to-do list at all?

Thanks,

Dan Frommer

(Note: I have changed this back for the time being, so if you visit my forums right now, you won't see the problem in action).

Re: changing Date format problem?

"M n" ... wouldn't that give like "Jan 01"(as Jan is month 1) ? ... shouldn't it be "M d" to get the current day of the month?

either way ... I copy and pasted your string "g:i a, M n, Y" and it worked on my 1.2.6 forum ... could be php settings (version) and/or your webserver that also interfer ...

Crap, you're right. I changed it to "M j, Y," ... and it's working (for now). I'll see what happens when a new post comes along. I wonder if the month/month syntax was messing things up.

Thanks for your time... sorry about that.
