Topic: Linux Server not sending email

I cannot get my linux server to start sending script generated emails for things such as passwords for punbb. I looked at my log file, it says it tries to send it, but could not resolve address. Anyone have any ideas?

Try looking at the SMTP settings in Admin > Options.

I made the mistake of using my SMTP server that came with my hosting account, and it didn't work. I then emptied the field, and it did work.

From what I can gather, the script believes it has sent the email, but I dont recieve it. Could it be a router or isp issue? I just tried after clearing iptables.

The function is more than likely disabled. My host disallows emails yet I still have the script saying it's sent.

If that's the case, then maybe you do want external SMTP server enabled, I don't know. hmm

Well, I know that sendmail is enabled, because I can send email locally (localhost). But I can't get out of the network onto a wan. Could it be a router issue?
