Topic: New group made on "Moderator group"

Hello,

I've just installed Punbb and want to hide a forum, except for selected users (~7).

Users of punbb.fr told me to try to make 4 groups : 2 for members (one -A- that can see hidden forum and another -B- that can't) and 2 for moderators (one -C- that can see hidden forum and another -D- that can't). The A et C group have been created, based on member group (I couldn't base them on Moderators group - that's the problem)

The problem is that we can't make a group based on Moderator group. So, the C group can't be moderator.

Why can't we base a new group on Moderator group ? It will be quite normal that we could, no :-?

Is there another way to hide a forum, except to some users without hacking the forum ?

This is a feature that will most likely be added to PunBB 1.3.

when you say road maps, what do you mean exactly?
if you mean to changes from 1.2 to 1.3 you will find them at dev.punbb.org

well, there are no roadmaps afaik rickard just does what he feels is good (its worked well so far wink)

i did not see it yet in the 1.3-dev branch.

Because 1.3 isn't fully coded yet: you can't find extensions there either tongue
