PunBB does not have subjects for replies, only new topics.

Farch - I think that the quick reply is enabled doesn't connected. He (bigboss) want that every reply will have a subject... Like in phpBB InvisionBoard, YaBB and such...

Wooty: PunBB used to have subject for every post, but I had a poll about it and we came to the conclusion that is was completetly useless. When you start a new topic, you enter the subject for the discussion. Why would you want to change the subject later in the same topic? It doesn't make sense.

I'm 100% behind Kennel on this one ... there's no need for a subject field on any other posts than the first one. I usually just leave it blank on forums i'm visiting, and most other seem to do the same
if someone want one, well just write
[ img ]fancy icon url[ /img ] [ b ]This is my subject[ /b ]
at the beginning of your posts (except the spaces in the tags though)... that'll make it look like one anyhow
