Topic: cant edit the PunBB administration control panel

just installed punBB to a Apache webserver, MySQL 3,23, PHP 4.2.2... works great smile exept that i cant edit the PunBB administration control panel. every time i try to change some thing. i get an error msg:

The Base URL is correct.

hmmm... is the base URL REALLY correct ? ;) I've screwed up with 127.0.0.1 a couple of times myself.

It was Norton PFW that screwed it up. so now im up and running.

Also, please note that this only applies to moderats and admins. Regular users are not affected by the referer check.

Bug still exists.

Base url = http://www.realmsofconflict.com/forums
control panel bugs out by putting: http://realmsofconflict.com/forums (whatever) on all the links.

So I get the bad referrer error. there is no HTTP_REFERER issues either. No firewalls, nothing.

Running win2k3 w/ IIS6
PHP 4.3.3
mySQL 4.0.15

I've uninstall these forums until this bug gets fixed. Can't use forums that can't be administered sad

Uhm... and if you set the Base url to http://realmsofconflict.com/forums ?

The above is the requested infromation for the BASE_URL. With-holding the "WWW" part makes it incomplete.

Not only that.. smile But for Name-Based domains (not ip-based), you have to put in a plug for both www. and non-www. for each domain. Either way, this is still an issue.

Sure, not a problem, I even tried it w/o the www.


Well, i tried to, but it gives a bad referrer error when using the non-www. Had to change back to www to get you admined.. so you are admin'd now.
