Topic: OPERA - Free Licences

Opera are holding their 10th birthday part. Free licenses/registration keys for Opera are available for as long as the party goes on.

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

Cool! Nice to get rid of the banner. Not that I ever use Opera, but still smile

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

I downloaded Opera just because of this tongue
I mean, I might never use it, but it can't hurt to have a registered copy if I need one big_smile

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

Same as Smartys. I wasn't exactly desperate for Opera, but I figured it'd be nice to have an ad-free version on hand anyway.

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

I got one too, just for testing purposes.

It's pretty fast, different feel than Firefox but nice.

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

Don't understand the interest of Opera ... anyway smile

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

If I ever get a Pocket PC, it will be nice to have a licensed version of Opera.

I like Opera 8 a lot. I don't like it enough to make it my default browser, but the text-to-voice function is fucking amazing. When reading articles, there is nothing better than to have the computer read it to you.

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

Anyway i am not using Opera for browsing... I felt uploading is good with Opera.. , Lets check for the reg..

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

Brilliant. It's by far the best windows browser out there at the moment and hopefully this will help spread the word.

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

i prefer firefox but mainly because of how messy opera looks out of the box, i know you can customise it but i'm just lazy... also it doesn't support xml for some reason

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

Opera is a fine browser, I use it for testing my sites now as a guest user. IE rarely gets fired up now.

My loyalty stands with Mozilla though, if it wasn't for Firefox, I'd be using Opera.

There is an issue with rendering XML with an XSLT, don't know why.

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

i don't think its an issue, it just doesn't support XSLT at all

Re: OPERA - Free Licences

Nice!

so was that mad rush for everyone to get a reg key just a "marketing" ploy? it worked if it was.

If you took part in the mad rush, you got license keys for the mobile version too... which AFAIK is still a pay-for product.
