Topic: How to get old posts from database back?

I had a forum that was 3 years old that I took down a few months ago. It had almost 20000 posts and I have had a lot of people emailing me asking if they could get old posts back.

Without setting up another forum and using an old database backup, it there a way to post an .html archive of an old punbb forum? I really don't want to set up another forum for this... I just need the posts up some where for people to read.

I'd say that setting up a new forum is the best way wink
I'm sure you could write a script to output HTML from the backup, but it would take much less effort to set up the forum (at least IMO) tongue

It would be simpler just to set up a forum and have it in read only mode, so no new posts can be made. You could probably delete some of the less important files which aren't crucial to punbb operation.
