Since PunBB supports various databases:
MySQL 3.23.17 or later, PostgreSQL 7.0 or later or SQLite.
I'd like to do an informal poll to determine the databases being used:
Database, Version, Operating System

MySQL 4.0.23, Debian Sarge - apt-get update is your friend 
Plan to use MySQL 4.0 branche (latest) on Red hat, and MySQL 4.1 branche (latest) on FreeBSD.
Postgresql 8.01 on freebsd 5.3
Just trying to resurrect this topic, I like the DB layer used in PunBB and plan on using it on another project.
Does anyone use SQLite, on Linux and/or Windows?

I have heard of SQLite before but I don't know of much use for it; I have seen an example of where it is intergrated into desktop applications but other than that I haven't seen very much web use. The big SQL databases for PunBB would be MYSQL followed by PostreSQL. If you wanted to reach a commerical audience you may want to think about MSSQL or Oracle.
