Locked forums? you can close a thred by going onto it and selecting "close" at the bottom.

Sorry, but thats a no to the images. Background images are just so much easier provided you know how to set them up.
To lock a forum you just set it to read only in admin.

Paul, if you want anything on your hard drive turn off your PC and don't turn it back on with your hard drive in 
Benny, No, PunBB is trying to move away from images, if you want them you can apply them with your own theme, look on punres for themes with images.
