*bangs head on the wall mumbling*MySQL

I ran MySQL4 for months, ran fine. I rebooted the machine I host the forums on, now I am getting an error 1067 when it tries to restart the service and does not start. Has anyone incountered this error. I have checked the MYSQL support forums, many references to it, but no solution. I checked Google for hours, again, many references but no solution. I think maybe if I uninstall mysql and reinstall it it *might* work *shrugs*. But my question would be, would the data be read by the forums? Or do I have to do something else to the database first? Kinda lost here, any help would be appreciated. Forums down over a day now cause of this.
