Topic: Suggestions on what's wrong with this WordPress / Punbb integration...

Ok so my site is not live yet but I'm nearly there... except I'm trying to integrate Wordpress and Punbb. All I'm trying to do is add the header and footer. So I followed this good guide:

Integrate PunBB forum into Wordpress (Liewcf.com)

However the end result is a very amusingly garbled Punbb, which is functional... but if you click on the link below you'll see it's, eh, less than usable.

I know there are others out there looking to duplicate comments across into Punbb and have an integrated login/logout - I'm not looking for that. All I want to do is have the same header across my Wordpress and Punbb templates. I'm a complete novice with php, and this looks like I'm getting there but have missed out on some critical note. Any ideas?

Hmm... tried pushing the code around a bit but I am still completely lost here. Even if anyone had any suggestions on what could normally go wrong with this type of integration? It almost looks to me like the .tpl file is not recognising the PHP code as PHP code and is just writing it out as text...

Exactly, you can't put php in the .tpl files.

Elzar - agh, ok, thanks for clarifying. This is beyond me, so I'll just go for placing the logo above the forum for now, rather than full integration. Thank you!
