Topic: Help with beginning

Well, i'm trying to learn php and I don't understand nothig, lol. Not nothing at all, but I don't find a simple answer of a simplequestion in FAQs and forums. I registered a forum in mypunbb.com. I beginn trying to add more smilies, for example. But, where can i find the directories? (img/smilies/). It's necessary Apache server if I have a server (mysite.mypunbb.com) and PHP-Nuke (for example) and MySQL? Searching for answers i only see "...edit main.php and ..." but, how can Ii edit this?
Maybe i need to install all of this programs... I read manuals and all of this asumes i know all of this simples thinks

You can't do any of this with MyPunBB, because you don't control the files
You need to get your own hosting and set it up yourself wink

ok ok, with mypunbb I can see the behind side of the forums, but no interact at 100% with it, no?

Well, I will find a hosting, and if i'm not wrong then use the Apache, PHP and MySql to make my own forum or my own web, it's ok?

Hey i think i might be able to help you find one!!

but my best bet to save hours of time looking on the internet is to find a freind with a domain allready and either cut a deal with him and get a domain or cut a deal with him and get a Sub-domain!! .... just a tip
