NOD32. It's reasonably priced & probably the fastest, least resource hungry AV application available. Also, no other AV application have recieved more 100% awards from Virus Bulletion, something that really says something about the quality... I love it
Avast, it's free, just like the viruses and trojans
Norton AntiVirus 2006
But it doesn't seems so good according to the review at PCWorld.com
AVG 7 Free Edition since 3 years
Nada
AVG 7.1.375 - it's worked out great for me, my choice three!
Debian Stable ;-)
NOD32 for the same reasons as CodeXP.
NOD32 + Look'n'Stop Firewall=Happy thoughts
I jumped on the NOD32 bandwagon a few months ago.
Kaspersky
Avast, seems to be a bit more thorough than AVG. plus i'm cheap.
No antivirus here. I got a virus back in 98 or something (a boot sector virus), but that's it. No viruses, worms or malware. My recipe is:
1. Enable automatic updates.
2. Make sure Windows built-in firewall is enabled.
3. Avoid Internet Explorer and Outlook [Express].
4. Avoid [insert malware infested P2P app here].
5. Don't run .exe/.pif/.bat/.cmd/etc files you get as attachments from people you don't know
Voila!
Errm, how do you know you have no viruses?

Yeah, same here ... but when you have kids and when they mess around you need to have some protection.

Good one

Well, every now and then, I run an online scanner just to be sure.
I don't use an antivirus program either. In my opinion, they just waste resources.
I was like Rickard, basically followed the same steps as he's outlined but one day a friend came over to my house and hooked up his laptop to my network.
Since then, I run an AntiVirus on all my Windows machines.
I use freeware antivirus (Avast - personal use) for my Windows systems and none for my GNU/Linux systems (but installed just for tests Clamav and F-prot for Linux).
Funny when you think about it
Why ? I just don't boot on Windows and prefer to use Ubuntu and Mandriva for my daily activities !
Rickard and hcgtv That was i said before i detect my computer CIH infected (before 2 month of its world shocked), after that i installed antivirus just for CIH (too old story).
