Topic: having more than 70 characters in the subject heading

just wondering if anyone can pls advise how to amend the number of characters allowed in the subject box for a new topic?  I would like topic headings to have more than 70 characters max.  I have tried ajusting in mySQL to no avail, and can't seem to find where to ajust in post.php page...

use the search function in your texteditor on post.php and search for 70

you will get 2 hits, and you need to alter both to what you have in the database. (but as always, make a backup of the file in case it breaks everything)

Many thanks Frank - I made the 2 changes, but still unable to post as gives an error Subjects cannot be longer than 70 characters.
I changed this in edit.php also and all is working fine now!
