Topic: Sony Ericsson W810i
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson K750i. It's a really great phone. It does however have one little quirk I just can't live with. It isn't possible to pause an MP3 and then minimize the MP3 player and use the phone to, for example, make a call. You have to keep the MP3 playing and then minimize the MP3 player or stop the playback and close the MP3 player alltogether. For some odd reason, the minimize option is greyed out when you've paused an MP3. This probably isn't an issue for most people, but I've started to listen to a lot of podcasts lately and they usually last 30 to 60 minutes. My daily walk to and from work takes 30 minutes in total. This means if I start to listen to a podcast when I go to work and I want to continue listening to it when I walk home, I have to fast-forward 15 minutes and that takes forever on this thing. The fast-forward is really slow and the speed at which it fast-forwards doesn't increase when you hold the button in. Even worse, the next morning, I have to fast-forward 30 minutes.
So, I'm looking for a new phone (again) and I'm considering a Sony Ericsson W810i. It's basically the same phone as the K750i, but I'm guessing it has had some MP3 player improvements (hence, the Walkman branding). Now, do any of you own one of these? If so, could you please check if it's possible to pause playback and then minimize the player? Or maybe the W810i has logic to memorize where you are in a song and continue from there the next time you start the player? As soon as someone can confirm this, I'm orderning.
