Topic: Is it possible to disallow the displaying of email addresses...

... on  a forum basis!

I want to set up a forum where no one can see each others personnals details.
None whatsoever...  the fist thing is that there doesn't seem to be an option to do that.


BTW, really nice piece of software. Congrats!
Took me less than one minute to get it running on lycos.co.uk, works really cool.

I'm getting a:
Error: Unable to connect to MySQL server. Too many connections.

All the time now, Lycos doesn't support persistent connections, and I only found that out after playing a bit!!
Can this be it??

I don't think so - I run one off Lycos and it gets quite a few hits without problems..

To answer the question of the topic, no.

You can turn off persistent connections by setting $p_connect to false in your config.php.

Hehe, ok Kennel. No harm in asking!

My problem with the connections was due to some problem in the server, they solved it and it works again, I did however turn persistent connections off!


Another Issue...
My smtp server uses a non standard port, when I try to tell PunBB to use say smtp.something.com:2500 it doesn't accept it... is there a way around this?
