Guest's security are set to not allow posts, yet this option is available.

Users are able to put in a garbage email address, and post a message without verification because of this. Where and how can we fix this?

Running a heavily modified 1.2.10 Punbb, so it would be ideal to not have to patch / update to resolve it.

I'm not sure about why guests can post, but before you deal with that it would be advisable to use the hdiff to update immediately to avoid security problems.

Also, make sure there's a user in your database with id = 1 and group_id = 3. That's the guest user.
