Topic: How To Restore Deleted Posts?

PunBB Friends,

My PunBB forum is doing well: http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum

I had a very experienced user with a ton of posts that got offended and deleted all of his posts.  I've talked him into allowing me to restore his posts... problem is I'm not positive how to do it. 

Fortunately his userID still exists and I have daily backups.  I have restored the DB to a temporary DB location and use phpMyAdmin to administer the DB.

Can I simply export all his posts from the temp DB and then use "Import" from phpMyAdmin to restore all his posts?

Yes, I believe that would work. As always, make a complete backup before you start fiddling with the database.

You're awesome!  I was able to successfully (and relatively easilly) restore all 227 of this user's very helpful posts.  I'm so glad PunBB works as well as it does and that my backup proceedures are proving to work perfectly.
