Topic: database backup without cpanel

I am switching to another host and the problem is that my current host's cpanel is dead and I can't get to phpmyadmin. Is there any way to backup my forum database without losing anything or will I have to reinstall the the forum on the new host starting from new (which is a bit harder choice for me to do but if it's the only way...)?

You can use the DB Management plugin to backup and import your databases.
You can also just install phpMyAdmin on the server yourself smile
