Topic: Generel setup questions

Hi!
PunBB is the first forum ever installed by me, sorry for maybe simple questions.
Please, just give short answers.

I?ve successfully installed forum. But install docs are really just quick HOWTO.  I want to know about any recommended pre/post install activities like CHMOD some files/catalogs, should I delete install.php, any other security precautions ?

Something to make me sure my PunBB is relatively free from attacks/spam.
All sort of advices for newbies are welcome smile

I wonder how to change codepage to UTF-8 for all forum (interface + posts) I?m going to have 3 languages. Will it slow down the forum? And after all: is it recommended?

- Chmod config.php so that it's only as readable as it needs to be tongue
- You can delete install.php, it's up to you
- Nothing else I can think of, except make sure to keep your forum updated smile

As for UTF-8...
