Topic: Scandinavian letters " ÅÄÖ " do not work

Hi!

i just installed PunBB 1.2.12 on my webserver and i cant get the Scandinavian letters ( ÅÄÖ ) to work in the bultin board thay works on all other php scripts thats is on that server and in cli.

if i try to make a forum with the name "Allmänt" it becomes "Allm"

and if i try to sen a mesage with åäö in it to a topic i get the error:

An error was encountered
Error: Unable to insert search index words.
"

Enable debug mode, post the full error wink

ye sounds like the same problem.. but, i tryed to add the BINARY mode to word but it just say "Records: 1  Duplicates: 0  Warnings: 0" in MySQL CC

So you did alter the table to use varbinary?

i tried to but noting happends, its just say that line but i won't change it to BINARY

I'm not positive, but try doing varchar binary instead of varbinary

okie changed it to varbinary now.. same thing
do i need to change the php files with thoes mods or shuld it work anyway?
