Topic: Visitors have Member privileges

For some reason, unregistered visitors are getting Member privileges and more. They can post, even though they're not supposed to be able to do so. When they post, their membership class appears as Member, although there is no other metadata. Stranger still, they can delete posts by others.

I don't know how long this has been the case. I did some authentication hacks many months ago, so it's probably my fault. Just not sure where to look for this one. If no one else has seen this, then I'll assume it's my bad. Thanks.

This always seems to be due to an old (now fixed) bug in the converter tool. Make sure the Guest user (id=1) has a group_id of 3

Thanks, Smartsys. That solved the problem. The Guest user was part of the Members group.
