Topic: Posts marked as Read

I have just installed version 1.2.14 becasue wanted to use the Mark_topics_as_read-1.1.3 patch. When I run that patch it says it only works with v1.2.5..  Has anyone else run into this and how can I get the posts to marked as read on this version?  Any and all help is appreciated!
