When I try to install PunBB I get this error message:
Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster
Error 404
That's a 404 error: make sure you're looking in the right folder
its ok, we had to delay the installation and renamed install.php to a filename only WE knew so that nobody could access our install page. we just had to rename it back to install.php
Error: Unable to write configuration cache file to cache directory. Please make sure PHP has write access to the directory 'cache'.
All files must be 755 right? or 644?
Make sure the cache folder is chmodded so that files can be written to it. If in doubt, try 777.
If there are .php files already there, try deleting them
