Topic: PunBB & mod_security

Hi,

Can anyone help with a problem which I think mod_security is causing?

PunBB was installed and working away quite nicely it seemed, and as I've started to fill it out with forums and posts I'm now regularly getting 500 Internal Server Errors, noticed it first on logging in to admin (sometimes it works/sometimes it don't), then noticed it when posting BBCode with embedded URL's. Turns out the server administrator has recently added mod_security, is this the likely culprit?

If so, what rules should be added to enable PunBB to work? If not, then what, permissions? There were also some folder permission changes made across the server, but this hasn't thrown up problems on any of the other PHP/MySQL sites hosted on the same server.

If the culprit is mod_security, ask the admin to update his/her ruleset: no current ruleset should pose an issue.
However, I'd check error.log and see what error it is giving you.
