Topic: Guest account

Hi

We're having problems with the guest account on our install. I've disabled Guest user features, so the theory is that they shouldn't be able to even view the forum.

However, not only can a Guest user see the forum, they can also post replies and new topics.

Currently running the latest version of PunBB (1.2.14), and the Guest user group has no privileges at all. But, in the forums admin section, the Guest user seems to have inherent read permissions at least on all forums, which means that the forums permissions aren't taking any notice of what is currently set in the User Groups permissions.

Any ideas/fixes?

Have you changed anything on the forum/installed any mods?

Update - found the error. group_id for Guest user had been set to 4 (admin) rather than 3. People trying to set up the board manually after a cock-up during upgrading to latest version, and the guest account got lost.
