Topic: 2 posts more?

I have a pretty long topic, 3321 replies. in the posts table the value is ok, run a mysql query, and there are 3321 posts indeed in the db. but viewtopic.php shows only 3319. any ideea what to look for? why aren't those 2 posts showing when u browse the forums?


(I have the forum clean up plugin, I've synchronised everything, and still come up short with 2 posts, edited the _posts table with 2 posts less, and after a reply I have the same problem again)

I can search for the problem, I'm interrested if someone had the same thing, and how it was fixed, what to look for, in the db.

Could you have 2 posts which were made by posters who were improperly deleted, meaning their posts weren't properly dealt with?

Found the problem, thanx to a friend who knows a little sql.

I searched the posts for users who were deleted (based on their ID) actually there are 3 posts missing on this topic, not 2.

The problem is with the User management - v1.3, I pruned users with posts on the forum, but who didn't logged in for a long time. there were only 2 users with more than 0 posts and last login more than 6 months ago. the plugin deleted the users, but the posts remained in the database.

Now I don't know who's guilty here; punbb should have known that those are posts of ex users, or the plugin's job was to delete those posts too. (never asked me)

I can fix the db by deleting those posts. but who should fix this in the future ? the plugin or punbb ?

The plugin shouldn't be deleting users without handling their posts properly: I did post a new copy of the plugin in the topic a while back
