Topic: HELP!
When a registered user tries to view the topics.
It says "they do not have permission to view the boards"
when I have set them to HAVE permission to view/pot etc...

go to your admin panel and then forums, there you can edit the permissions for every forum.

I think its cause i installed a Forum Ranks but im not sure.
and manually changing the permissions doesnt work so it's something to do with one of the files.

Now then, you say you installed the forum ranks mod? I would double check your settings for it and make sure people are given proper permissions through the mod. If that doesn't work, I would try reverting your files back to what they were before the mod was installed and seeing if people can access the forums then: if so, the issue is with your setup of the mod

It's not working and I really really really really cannot revert it back because I didn't make a back up.
there has to be a way to fix this mod / problem i'm having with registered users not having "permission" to view forums.
I could show my code if oyu'd like.
would that help any?

You wrote "people say..." but do you try it yourself as moderator, then as common member and as guest? What have you seen?
