We recently transferred a copy of the forum to another server and in a directory

sample

from:

*www.origwebsite.com/

to:

*www.anotherwebsite.com/forumhere/

and we started getting these errors:

Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.

At first we didnt know till a friend (Alvin) checked on the database.  When we migrated the database, the auto_increment values disappeared, so we just put back those auto_increment values for forum and categories and it fixed the problem...

i run several test-versions of punBB 1.2.10.

alsways tested a lot and found a way to recreate the wanted state of my forum everywhere:

first i upload the distributed punbb and run install.php.
after tthat i upload all the modded files and run the install_mod_*.php files in exactly the same order, therefore i numbered them, so can´t fail...

when all this is done, i rstore the wanted databse and that´s it for me...


before this method, i tried to copy the ubloaded file to new location but that failed badly...
