Next time, create a new topic for your issue 
That error indicates that you entered the wrong username/password for your MySQL server. If you don't know the proper details, talk to your host.

Hi Rickard,
your post encouraged me to give it a try. I too have a heavy (by hand!) modified punbb.
The patch went really good, I only had to manually add 2 lines in search.php and moderate.php
Then I uploaded and run 12_to_1215_update.php, and all is ok now.

Just upgraded to 1.2.15 from 1.2.12

I am using PunBB 1.2.14 and its working really nice and I have also made some changes to the script because I didn?t needed people to tell about msn, yahoo, jabber etc. However I have some problems with showing the smiles/BBcode/IMG page and people can?t send messages to each other by forms in some browsers. Like in firefox it works but in IE6 and IE7 I have some problems. Can you tell me which scripts or patches I should change without loosing all those topics and user-information there are in the forum? I am a kind of rookie with this.
I also like your News-site that is connected to the forum. Is it also possible to download the script for that?

Yes, the news generator plugin on the downloads page will do just that.

Got something strange...in 1.2.14 when you give comment to a older topic, the topic go up in te list. But this don't work in 1.2.15? is there a way to alter this.

Hmmm... I would install new versions, but I made a lot of changes to many of the files. Is there any topics or tutorials that point out what to change in each files? I'd rather not go through them myself
