PunBB Forums → PunBB 1.2 show off → My new site
Hey folks, I've created my 3rd Pun-based site.
I haven't started promoting it yet, so it's not so active, but that'll come

It's using the Frontpage-mod with the theme "LateNight".
Other mods:
-Topic Tags for quick search.
-Video bb-code for YouTube etc.
-"Tell a friend" link on all threads.
-Digg-button on all threads.
Much thanks to the creators of Punbb and all the mods!
Neat. Attractive and well structured.
An observation though: on your home page http://www.alternativeinformation.org/forum.php it shows 33 queries being run.
You might like to look into that - that seems a lot of queries for a punBB home page.
Perhaps turn on the detailed query debug feature and have a look where all those queries are coming from and see if that query load can be tuned down.
When you get a lot of visitors that amount of MySQL queries may generate an unwelcome amount of server overhead for you. - Eg even just 10 visitors hitting your forum home page at once =330 simultaneous database queries.
Don't even think about what the query load might be if 30 visitors (or bots) hit that page at once 
@Endre - Can you tell me how you managed to put the subject of the post on the right side of your forum instead of the time or post link? I know it is probably just adding some stuff to the sql area in forum.php but I have no idea what code I can use. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

In index.php you have some problems with text centering in the newsletter box, both in Firefox and IE7.
I never tried the Frontpage mod but there are 2 identical page navigation elements in viewforum.php. Is it on purpose?
