Topic: Anyone Semi-Decent With Graphic Tools?

I found this map image and would love to use it as a background on a project Im working on now. Trouble is I am shit at editing graphics. I have played about with saturation, hue levels etc. Tried to colorize it in PSP etc. I even tried putting a 50% opaque layer on top sad Would someone be able to help me?

I would like the colors changing from Blue and Green to either:

Orange : (color code: ff9900)

...fades into....

Yellow: (color code: ffcc00)

or...

Pink : (color code: ffcc99)

...fades into....

Pink (color code: fee2c6)

I know I'm pushing my luck a little hehe but I someone will rise to the challenge smile Please.... tongue

Here a quick effort to see if that's the sort of thing you'd want.  Just took a minute so would need to spend a bit more time refining it a little.
