Topic: Punbb site 500 error

if you go to http://tactical-gaming.co.uk/upload/ you get a 500 error... how would i sort this... the error log shows

I'd talk to your host and see if they have any ideas

nope still get it. on two sites aswell http://tactical-gaming.co.uk/search.php

it does it on search, register, and all the admin options, but they still submit??

Yeah, I saw that you only got the error on those two pages (you don't even get it when certain search URLs are triggered), which is why I was curious about that code.
I'm out of ideas, I would ask your host

just been looking around and the htacces file says:

ErrorDocument 404 "/error//http-error.cgi"
ErrorDocument 500 "/error//http-error.cgi"


?? that isnt the nornal file. and when i  replate it with the noram one, it denyes me acces to the whole site?

do i have to do anything via ftp for it to work

I'd try deleting and reuploading the files

also i dont know if i move it accors the proper way, i exported and impoerted the mysql database and i just changed the config.php to the new settings? surley thats ok

its not so much the search, but mainly the admin submit section that dosnt work sad

Have you looked in the error and access log? According to this line:

Hrmm, just a wild guess, but does your server configuration have any special settings for images?

just had the enginners They say the server is fine, and they cannot see anything wrong. As they have run other php scripts which worked fine. The reason a 500 is occuring is because the script is making the server crash.

Well, that doesn't make sense, since you have two copies of PunBB running and two files are affected on one where as only one is affected on the other wink

i have uploaded the files in ascii mode with passive on. now when i look at the flies on the host, there is no formating on notepad? is that ok? it seems to be on all the files....?


would moving host be a better idea, or is it relly a scipt error

    * A webserver (preferably Apache).
    * PHP 4.1.0 or later (PHP 5 included).

They're PHP files, so I'd hope there wouldn't be formatting
