Since there is no PunBB option for this, moved to modifictions.

'modifictions' That really is a classic mistype.
Why not just make a hidden admin account if you want to be online without user visible admin status?

Not quite what you asked but gives all users to 'hide' from the online list.
Keep in mind if using the 'online today' mod it would still show all users even if they chose to be hidden.
