Topic: RSS / Atom feeds

Forgive my ignorance please.
A website I regularly visit has recently added RSS feeds to their forum, however a common problem for most users is that IE7 will not use these RSS feeds.
An error keeps coming up that says: "Internet explorer does not support feeds with DTDs"

Upon telling the administrators, they say this:

"Unfortunately, the Plugin for the PunBB only aggregates DTD feeds. If any of you can find a RSS or Atom feed plugin, please provide us with the URl, we will try to use that plugin instead of this one."

Is there anyone who can help?
If the admins don't want to find out for themselves I'm gonna do it for them.

There must be a way to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

please forgive my ignorance but i totally don't know what the hell you're talking about!

are you

(a)  trying to view rss with a browser?  why not use an rss reader?

or

(b)  trying to display feeds on your punbb based forum?  there's a couple plugins that do this.  i even put one together myself!  it's easy as pie.  simplepie.org that is.

or

(c) use the feed punbb produces?  http://yourwebsite/extern.php?action=active&type=RSS

i'm a bit confused.  state it plainly for me and i'll try to help.

Check this mod for feeds that don't use DTD. Works fine in IE7 (example)
