Topic: i cannot install the forum..

i got a mysql problem.. i got the user id and password for the mysql database, but the server give me message "Unable to connect to MySQL and select database. MySQL reported: Access denied for user 'xxx'@'xxx.xxx.xxx' (using password:YES)"

the info you put in is incorrect then. double check it to make sure everything is correct. you MUST create the database FIRST, PunBB does NOT create it for you. make sure the db name, db user, db user password and the db host address(not all hosts use localhost) is correct.
