Topic: Moving to new host ?

What is the procedure for moving a forum to a new host ?
I have a small forum in version 1.2.12 which I need to move to a new host . I tried installing 1.2.15 on the new site , then restoring the backup from the old site on the new . I tried restoring the old , then running install .  Neither worked .

install 1.2.15 on the new site. When it is running, empty all the tables but config in the database. Finally import your other database save without the config table

I am about to move my forum to a new server.  I will try yemgi's instructions above. 

A suggestion:
Could the developers please post explicit instructions on "How to move to a new server" in the documentation, probably under "Installation"?
