3- No, Not a good idea, do not use ajax in every thing, because it slows server. It increases load.
And unless you have a forum with 50000000 users, who will need to check how many thanks you did without updating page.

Found the problem and Solved.

When you move hosts. And Restore the database in the new hosts. it some how removes the list of forums from profile and topic moderation.

Like you will be able to assign modertors to specific forums because there will be no forums showing in the list. also you wont be able to move topics because there are no forums to move to.

This is kinda bug.

To fix that, you need to open all the forums in the admin area, just click on save sittings button. and you are done. you will see that forums are showing in the list now.
