If you want to sync post counts with posts currently in the forum, however, you can use Connorhd's forum cleanup plugin periodically.

When somebody on the forum makes a reply, the post-counter goes up. Great! Now, when that person removes that reply, the counter doesn't go back down. Any ideas on what to do?
